The project looks at the Fundamentals of CO2-Hydrocarbon Interactions for CO2 storage with enhanced recovery (EOR/EGR) in offshore reservoirs: modeling, numerical methods and upscaling. It is a collaboration with UniResearch with the objective of quantification of field-scale impacts and assessment of reservoir conditions under which oil and gas recovery can be improved while simultaneously increasing long-term storage potential. The funding, running through 2019, is provided by the Research Council of Norway and the CO2 storage project Climit. Involved members are Adrian Florin Radu, Kundan Kumar and Abay Mola and more information may be found at Climit’s pages.
